About Us

Hurst Insurance Consulting has been helping individuals and business owners with innovative and specialized insurance consulting since 2007. My area of expertise includes Estate Planning, Life Insurance, Buy / Sell arrangements, Business Coverages, Annuities and Retirement Planning, Foreign National coverages, and more. The primary goal of my business is to help families. As a Father I understand how the right Insurance coverage can help families prosper through generations. As a former professional baseball player, I also can help individuals and couples transition into new phases of their lives by utilizing Disability Insurance or an Annuity plan for their retirement. Growing up in South Florida, I also learned the unique challenges faced by resident and non-resident aliens owning property and other assets in the United States. I am well versed in the United States tax code and would like to help Foreign Nationals protect their wealth for themselves and their families.

Professional Baseball Career

Prior to forming Hurst Insurance Consulting, Bill Hurst was a professional baseball player. He played on the Miami Palmetto High School team, and went on to star at the College of Central Florida in Ocala. He was selected in 20th round of the 1989 MLB June Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Bill worked his way up the minor leagues for 7 seasons, until he was ultimately called up to the Major League by his hometown team - the Florida Marlins. He played one season for the team in 1996.

After his playing career, Bill volunteered to run a youth baseball league for 3 years. During this time, he also coached his sons, Sean and Zachary for 8 years. He later returned to Miami Palmetto High as the Varsity Pitching coach from 2012-2015.
